AKROTEK® PEEK 8 natur (7343) is an unreinforced high viscosity polyetheretherketone, that possess high mechanical strength even at temperatures > 150°C . The outstanding friction and wear properties enable the use for demanding components exposed to tribological stress. PEEK is characterized by its outstanding media resistance, which qualifies it to be used for components that are in contact with chemicals. The material corresponds to the European food guideline EU 10/2011 and to the American FDA 21 CFR.
Typical applications
Applications are mainly elements in the automotive-, aeronautical-, industrial- and medical engineering that require low friction and wear values in a temperature environment above 150°C.
