Reny™ Plant-Based Low Water Absorption Grade uses polyamide XD10 (poly(xylylene sebacamide)), a certified bioplastic. It reduces CO2 emissions while maintaining high strength and heat resistance, and helps reduce the use of fossil energy resources and environmental impacts through carbon resource recycling. Reny™ Plant-Based Low Water Absorption Grade contributes to product designs conscious of carbon neutrality, carbon footprints, sustainability, and life cycle assessments (LCA).
Features
・Use of biomass-derived polyamides (nylon) to allow for environmentally-conscious product designs
・Mechanical properties and heat resistance equal or greater than PA6, PA66 in a bio-based solution
・Water absorption 1/3–1/4 of PA6 and PA66, and minimal degradation of physical properties and changes to physical dimensions due to moisture absorption.
・Products with features such as low warpage, non-halo flame retardant, weather resistance, CF reinforcement, etc.
XH-series
・Highest levels of heat resistance in bio-based polyamides
・Outstanding hydrolysis resistance and chemical resistance
XL-series
・Good physical appearance with little filler floating
・Easy injection molding
Intended uses
・Electrical and electronic: Mobile terminal housings, OA housings, gears, switch parts, etc.
・Leisure: Fishing reels, bicycle parts, etc.
・Automotive: Engine covers, intake manifolds, plugs, connectors, etc.
・Machinery: Bearing retainers, robot parts, bearings, etc.
・Civil engineering and construction: Resin screws, resin bolts, etc.
