Matt Frost & Supermatt
The newly-developed LX FROST product provides the PMMA with a unique elegant appearance, as well as weather resistance and high hardness characteristics, with matt properties and a frosted optical effect based on the LX MMA-owned light-diffusing technology. LX MMA also has a FROST grade that can realize super-matt effects, which is available on a customer’s special request.
Applications
The LX FROST grade can be applied by injection, extrusion, and profile extrusion processes as a material for light covers and vehicle lighting guides, as well as being co-extruded as a top coat material. In particular, the unique matt effect is clearly achieved when the extruded and the co-extruded sheets with SUPERMATT are applied to the exteriors of electrical home appliances and bathtubs, which results in a matt effect even after a thermal formation.
