3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic PVDF 32008/0009 is ideal for data communication cable components including jacket, loose tube, and tight buffer applications where the highest flame/smoke performance and the highest degree of flexibility is required. PVDF is suitable as a component in plenum data communication cable applications. This material is designed for extrusion and injection molding processes.
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic PVDF 32008/0009 is a copolymer of vinylidene difluoride (VDF) and chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE). It provides superior flexibility compared to other PVDF, including our 11000 series copolymers. Dyneon fluoroplastic PVDF 32008/0009 provides excellent flame resistance, making it suitable as a component in plenum data communication cable applications such as plenum cable jackets and other plenum cable components. This material provides lower cold brittleness temperature to other PVDF grades. In addition, this PVDF copolymer is especially suited for extrusion and injection molding processes.
-Excellent flame resistance
-Excellent low flex modulus relative to PVDF homopolymer materials
-Excellent cold brittleness properties
-Suitable for extrusion and injection molding processes
