Baytec WP-260 dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate (HMDI)-terminated polyether prepolymer is based on polypropylene ether glycol (PPG). It is used in the formulation of two-component elastomer and binder systems. Polyurethanes from Baytec WP-260 prepolymer can be made optically clear, light-stable, and weather-resistant. They can range from rigid to flexible depending on the coreactant used. Typical uses include tooling resins, potting and encapsulation, and decorative applications. The material 's low viscosity allows for easy production of complex parts with good surface definition. As with any product, use of the Baytec WP-260 prepolymer in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
