Eastman Spectar™ FR1000 copolyester concentrate can be added to Spectar, and other Eastman copolyesters to produce extruded sheet and profiles which meet ASTM E-84 requirements for a Class A flammability rating for interior finish applications. These applications include wall protection panels, corner guards, and handrails typically installed in offices, hospitals, hotels, and schools.
Copolyester sheet containing Eastman Spectar™ FR1000 concentrate is tough, chemically resistant, odor free, and enables design freedom during fabrication. It's toughness enables the use of thinner gauge sheet than other common materials. It can also be extruded up to 12 mm (1/2 in.) thick and will not crystallize.
